National WASP WWII Museum
Since our last fly-in to the Wasp Museum (8 years ago, believe it or not!), they have completed an extensive renovation and the new changes have transformed this facility into a real showplace. The folks at the museum will have extra docents on hand to answer questions and they're going to cater a fried chicken lunch just for us. This would be a great opportunity to bring your kids, grand kids or the neighborhood kiddos for a fun history lesson, as well as giving them some exposure to aviation from a woman's perspective.
Plan to be on the ramp by 11:00 and the staff will arrange ground transportation over to the museum. Cost is $20 per person and that includes entry as well as lunch. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate your needs.
