Hal encouraged me to fly my Tiger up to his airport where he was making arrangements to put it in an empty hangar. | David Fletcher Houston Area Deliveries by David Fletcher Some neighbors here at Silver Wings airport (Fredericksburg, TX) got together and donated enough money for me to buy and deliver fourteen new 18 cubic foot refrigerators to Sagemont Church in Southeast Houston.

GOPA Scholarship Fund by Patricia Metz Since 2002 GOPA has presented over $120,000 in scholarships to young aviators working on their private pilot’s license. These funds have come from our members, along with support from some corporate friends, at our annual convention where various fundraising events have taken place. Applications are due February 1 of each year. We are very proud to support youth in aviation.
| Texas School Supply Airlift by Don Cochran In the aftermath of hurricane Harvey, many opportunities presented themselves to assist those who were impacted and in need of basic supplies to begin the rebuilding process.
| Rockport 2014 Convention Site by Scott Sanders, Regional Director I contacted several of the folks down in Rockport on the heels of the storm offering to fly people (in or out) or supplies down to them as soon as the airport was opened. Due to the power outages it was a couple of days before they were able to respond.
