Members Helping Members/David Fletcher

At a GOPA Annual Convention, it’s not unusual to find one of our gurus helping fix a real-life problem on the flight-line.  Our 2018 Annual Convention was case in point Here, David Fletcher of FletchAir, replaces an engine part while Kenny Burke looks on.  Notice the box in the foreground? David actually diagnosed the problem on-site, helped the owner order the part so that it would arrive during the Convention, then did an on-site replacement!

When we emailed David to ask about the specifics, here is what he reported:

“As in all AYA or GOPA meets there are airplanes that don't fly often enough, so long cross countries produce issues unknown at take off. I believe we were replacing a magneto in the photo you sent.  Might have been a master relay. I did both at that convention.”

Just another example of GOPA Members helping Members.

AYA Friends = PRICELESS!

by Guy Warner

A few days before Hurricane Irma visited Florida I got a call from fellow AYA member and good friend, Hal Beauchene, who lives in Enterprise, Alabama. The rest of the story is here.
