Join us to "Stand on the Corner"

September 16-19 Winslow, Arizona.

Jeff & Marion Davis have planned a fun weekend for us in Winslow. They've got a block of rooms on hold at the gorgeous, historic La Posada Hotel 855-284-4464 for $205/night for a king room and $160 for a double room. Those prices include taxes. The rooms need to be confirmed by August 1st so there's not much time left!

You may be able to book a room a little later on your own but you should act fast. All rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. For alternate accommodation they suggest the Quality Inn. It is a little way from downtown but has some food and stores in walking distance.

They'll have vans to shuttle between the airport, downtown/La Posada and Quality Inn. Ground transportation is very limited in Winslow and unfortunately, the vans aren't cheap. The cost per person to cover the vans will depend on how many folks attend, but please figure on paying $100 per person.

Schedule:

Sept 16

Arrive Winslow airport, we will have light snacks and beverages available in terminal, shuttle to hotels.

Lunch on your own. Easy walk to downtown and the famous corner.

Evening group meal at Bojo’s Bar and Grill.

Sept 17

Breakfast on your own at hotel or 3 blocks to downtown breakfast spot. Road trip to Petrified Forest. Lunch in Holbrook at Tom and Sherri’s Diner. Optional afternoon visit to Meteor Crater.

Dinner group at La Posada.

Sept 18

Breakfast on your own. Road trip to Meteor Crater (if not yesterday) then on to Tonto Natural Bridge, lunch in Pine/Strawberry and optional visit to Lavender farm.

Dinner group in Winslow at Old Town Grill.

Sept 19 Breakfast on your own. Depart, shuttle to airport.

If folks want to extend their visit options include flying to Sedona, Grand Canyon or Flagstaff. Ground transportation available.
