Chanute is a small town with lots of charm. There is a very interesting Museum the with African artifacts brought here by Martin and Osa Johnson in the 1930's. There is quite a story of their travels. After traveling the world and flying over Africa, he died in a plane crash in America. There is an arts festival that Saturday, a small town Rodeo on the 24th and 25th, an antique car exhibit in town, and other attractions.
So step back in time, and see Africa as it was before cell phones and Google. Arrive in the morning on the 9/24/2022. You can visit the museum and eat lunch and stay over night or head home. There is a Holiday Inn Express in town if you want to stay overnight. I will provide transportation to town and back to the airport. See attached information.
